A self-described "light-skinned Black Jew," Celeste Headlee has been forced to speak about race - including having to defend or define her own - since childhood. In her career as a young journalist, she's made it a priority to talk about race proactivity, yet, not everyone is able to do the same. And often, when those conversations happen they are typically with people who have similar viewpoints which only reinforces our division. If you don't feel equipped to engage in these discussions, this session is for you. Timed days before her much anticipated November 2nd book release, Speaking of Race, Celeste Headlee will help you develop the language to confidently talk about all aspects of equity and difference- race, age, gender, religion, and more - especially in a world where the language is evolving faster than we can learn.
